The company was founded by Joy S. Kocar in 1992, who holds both mechanical engineering and mathematics degrees from Columbia University and performed postgraduate research at Carnegie Mellon University.

Ms. Kocar combines 11 years of engineering experience with 10 years of technical documentation expertise and regulatory affairs knowledge. She is a member of the following organizations.
